Fine motor skills are the ability to make movements using the small muscles in our hands and wrists. Kids use fine motor skills to complete many life skills and school-related tasks.
Executive function skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and multi-task successfully. These skills are crucial for learning and development.
Visual motor skills are integral to a child’s development. They involve the use of both vision and the hands to complete tasks. Some examples are writing, coloring, and tying shoes.
Sensory regulation is the ability to use the senses to help increase and decrease alertness, or arousal, to match the situation or environment. This is an important skill for children to learn.
